Organized into four series: I. Documents relating to George A. Long v. Gray Telephone Pay Station Co. and Long Security Lock Co. II. Gray Telephone catalogs, publications and papers, including photographs of the factory's construction in 1912-1913. III. Patents, both Long's, his father's, and other patents related to telephone pay boxes. IV. Long's personal papers, including specifications, contracts, and correspondence with architects Ebbets & Frid concerning the construction of his residence, Boulder Lodge, in Bloomfield, Conn. Long filed suit for breach of contract against Gray Telephone Pay Station Company (later Gray Manufacturing Company) and Long Security Lock Company. The collection includes plaintiff's exhibits, evidence, background information, and the final settlement, out of court, in 1941.
